Knowledge Is Not Power.

What if I told you, you could forget half of what you know and achieve more?

Contrary to what you've been told knowledge is not power.

This is a hangover belief from many centuries ago when those who truly wielded power were not really the king and queens but the scribes who could read and write.

Think for a moment.

If only a small, select few notable scribes or those in a religious order could read and write and then anyone outside of that group could not - you held considerable power.

The power to overthrow a tyrannical leader, organize a protest, overthrow any leader you simply did not like.

In today's modern world where you have access to more information in your pocket than the Pharoh's of ancient Egypt, there should be more happy, joyful, successful individuals running around.

But there is not.

In fact, all we are taught to do is gather, gather, gather more information.

More knowledge will make things better.

Then read, remember, and repeat this information and ta-da...you'll make things happen.

The knowing versus doing gap is the one all successful people are forever closing, not widening by the mere accumulation of more knowledge.

You can forget half of what you know and if you apply the other half you would do much better at whatever it is you're doing.

Knowledge is not power, application of knowledge is true power.
